Vehicle depreciation calculator
Model year-by-year vehicle value using editable annual depreciation rates and a residual floor.
Each editable annual loss rate compounds on the previous year-end value, subject to the entered residual floor. Year zero and every modeled year are retained. This is your scenario, not a market valuation, resale forecast or tax/accounting schedule. Mileage, damage, inflation, sale costs and appreciation are not inferred. Processing stays on your device in a cancellable worker with a 10-second timeout. Maximum 500000 combined input characters and 2000 records, with 30 tariffs or grades, 30 tiers per tariff and 100 depreciation years. Guided decimals allow up to six places without thousands separators. Full JSON and JSON Pointer CSV include all source inputs, units, assumptions and results; each file is capped at 2000000 characters and CSV at 200000 leaf records. All tariff totals precede the first 200 detail rows in the parking preview; other tables preview 200 rows. Software bounds are not vehicle capability claims. Results use floating-point arithmetic. Up to 500,000 characters. Review the settings before running.

Useful next steps
Build your own depreciation curve
Each annual rate applies to the previous year-end value. For example, a value of 20000 with rates of 20% then 10% becomes 16000 then 14400. The entered residual floor prevents later modeled values falling below that amount.
Treat this as a scenario
You supply every annual loss assumption. This calculator does not look up a vehicle, infer market resale prices or calculate tax or accounting depreciation. Mileage, damage, inflation, sale costs and appreciation are outside the model.
