A reason to keep the app.
We are planning a desktop toolbox for recurring file work: whole folders, saved settings and local processing. The software would be free of charge, funded by connection sharing through Geonode.
How the connection would be used.
After installation and a separate, explicit agreement, the app would connect your device to Geonode's network. Geonode would route third-party requests for public web data through your internet connection and public IP address.

This uses your connection's data allowance and public IP. It is separate from processing your PDFs or images.
The details come before the decision.
Before a desktop release, the offer must explain permitted uses, actual speed and data limits, background activity, metered-network handling, and how to pause or withdraw. Only use a device and connection you have permission to share.
Those controls and limits are still to be verified. There is no installer or sharing activation on this website today.
