Useful next steps
List finished patches for one block
Enter one finished width, height and quantity line per rectangular patch type. Add the block count and a seam allowance. The allowance is added to all four edges, making a 4-inch finished square a 4.5-inch cut square with quarter-inch seams.
Follow the dedicated strip plan
Each patch type receives dedicated width-of-fabric strips. When rotation is allowed, the calculator compares both orientations for that type and chooses the shorter fabric length. The exported plan shows each strip start, height, patch width and how many pieces to cut. It does not claim globally optimal nesting.
Save the plan
Download the result as CSV, plus a text or JSON report with formulas, values and assumptions. Everything is calculated on your device. Changing units keeps the entered numbers, so check the selected units before using the plan.
