Cycling cadence calculator
Calculate your pedaling cadence from road speed, wheel circumference and selected bicycle gearing.
Use whole tooth counts from 1 to 1000, rolling circumference from 100 to 10000 mm and speed from 0 to 2000 in the selected unit. Decimal inputs allow up to six places. These are software bounds, not vehicle capability claims. Results use floating-point arithmetic. Processing stays on your device, with a bounded worker and a 10-second timeout. Full JSON and CSV preserve every calculated row and the assumptions. Do not use thousands separators. Up to 1,000,000 characters. Review the settings before running.

Useful next steps
Convert road speed into pedal revolutions
Cadence in RPM is speed in meters per second multiplied by 60, divided by development in meters per crank revolution. Zero road speed produces zero cadence.
Keep gearing and measurements consistent
Use the actual tooth counts for the selected gear and a measured rolling circumference. This kinematic calculation assumes no tire slip. It does not recommend an ideal cadence or simulate power and road resistance.
