Seamless texture maker
Turn a photo or texture into a tile that repeats with softer edges, and see it repeated 3 by 3 with seam measurements before and after. Download the tile as a PNG.
Accepted files: .png,.jpg,.jpeg,.webp. Choose one file. Up to 20 MiB in total.
Images stay in this browser and are never uploaded. Use one still PNG, JPEG or WebP image up to 20 MiB and 16,384 pixels per side: up to 8 million pixels for cross-fade and 2 million pixels for mirror tiling. Blend width 1 to 4,096 pixels and at most half the shorter side. Processing stops after 30 seconds. You get a PNG tile and a JSON seam report. Source metadata and color profiles are not copied. One still image up to 20 MiB and 8 million pixels. Up to 1,000,000 characters. Review the settings before running.

How to use Seamless texture maker
- Choose a texture image, such as a photo of stone, fabric or grass.
- Pick cross-fade to keep the original size, or mirror to build a symmetric 2 x 2 tile.
- Set the blend width for cross-fade, run the tool and check the repeated preview and seam numbers.
- Download the tileable PNG.
Useful next steps
Cross-fade
The image is blended with a copy shifted by half its width and height. Near the edges the shifted copy dominates, so the left and right edges and the top and bottom edges come from neighboring pixels of the same image and meet smoothly. The blend width sets how far in from each edge the fade reaches; it can be at most half the shorter side.
Mirror
Mirror tiling flips the image into a 2 x 2 tile, which always repeats without a visible edge but looks symmetric. It doubles both sides of the image.
Read the seam report
The report gives the mean color difference across the side seam and the top seam, before and after, next to the typical difference between neighboring pixels inside the image. Values near the inside figure mean the seam blends in. Cross-fading can raise the inside figure and strongly patterned textures can still show repeats, so check the preview rather than relying on the tile being perfect.
