YAML anchor resolver

Expand YAML anchors and aliases into repeated values. Detect recursive references and preserve exact number text while producing standalone YAML.

Up to 100 documents, 50,000 parsed nodes and 64 nesting levels. Diagnostic reports omit source text and key values. No application schema is checked. At most 50,000 expanded nodes and 2,000,000 characters of expanded scalar/comment text. Runs on your device with no configuration, repository or credential lookups. Up to 1,000,000 input characters and 4,000,000 characters per output file. Paste text to process locally. Review the supported syntax and the result before downloading. Results update as you type. Up to 1,000,000 characters.

How to use YAML anchor resolver
  1. Paste YAML 1.2 documents containing anchors and aliases.
  2. Review any cycle, syntax or unsupported-feature diagnostics.
  3. Download the expanded YAML files and report, then review the configuration.

Useful next steps

Replace references with their values

Paste one or more YAML 1.2 core documents. Each alias is replaced with a copy of its referenced value, and anchor names are removed. Each document produces its own expanded YAML download.

Reject references that cannot expand safely

An unresolved alias or recursive reference blocks all transformed downloads. Expansion is bounded to prevent an alias tree from growing without limit. Unknown tags, collection-valued mapping keys and YAML 1.1 documents are reported instead of receiving a misleading conversion.

Review the rewritten configuration

Large integer values and plain floating-point spelling are retained. Formatting and comments may change. Explicit merge-key entries remain in place, with their alias values expanded; this is not a merge-key flattener or an application-schema validator.
