Scale and combine ingredients
Ingredient amounts scale by planned servings divided by base servings. Identically named ingredients combine only when their units can be normalized to the same quantity kind; names remain literal.
Portions per container
portion_size is the number of portions per container, not a volume. Decimal sizes are allowed and the final container may be partly filled. For 3 planned portions and 1.25 portions per container, the portions are 1.25, 1.25 and 0.5.
Quantity planning only
Labels contain the recipe, planned portions and optional date. This tool does not give food-storage or food-safety advice.
