Count the words that matter
Words use English word segmentation. Punctuation is excluded from the word total; character counts include spaces and line breaks.
Reading time is an estimate
The reading estimate uses 200 words per minute. Technical text, unfamiliar language and reading aloud can take longer.
How to use Word counter
