TTF and OTF are desktop font containers. WOFF2 compresses font data for web delivery. Changing the container does not add missing characters or improve outlines.

## Common questions about font tools

### Does WOFF2 change the design?

Container compression preserves the underlying glyphs and metrics. A browser may still render fonts differently from a desktop application.

### Can every WOFF2 become TTF?

No. WOFF2 can contain TrueType or CFF outlines. The TTF converter supports TrueType outlines and rejects CFF instead of producing a mislabeled file.
