## Tool capabilities

| Property | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Tool ID | `jet-lag-schedule-planner` |
| Category | date-time-tools |
| Implementation | Registered implementation. Registration alone is not a production-quality guarantee. |
| Browser execution | Use the visible action or interactive controls. |
| Browser processing | Browser; see tool notes for network behavior. |
| HTTP API | Not callable through HTTP. |
| Browser-agent interface | run_current_tool |

### Implementation notes

The plan is clock arithmetic done on this device with the shift rate you choose. It is not medical advice.

### Inputs and settings

No free-text input is required. Use the file inputs and/or settings below.

| Setting | Meaning | Control type | Default | Constraints |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `homeZone` | Home time zone | text | "America/New_York" | |
| `destZone` | Destination time zone | text | "Europe/London" | |
| `travelDate` | Travel date | date | "" | |
| `sleepStart` | Usual sleep start | time | "23:00" | |
| `sleepEnd` | Usual wake time | time | "07:00" | |
| `shiftPerDay` | Shift per day in minutes | number | 60 | min=15 max=180 step=1 |
| `daysBefore` | Start shifting this many days before travel | number | 3 | min=0 max=14 step=1 |
| `direction` | Shift direction | select | "auto" | Allowed: auto, advance, delay |

### Browser-agent workflow

1. Open the human page in a browser that supports WebMCP.
2. Discover the interface exposed by that page; use its actual schema.
3. Select files on the page first when the tool requires files.
4. Call `run_current_tool` with valid input and settings.
5. Inspect the returned result or error and the displayed output. Retrieve files from the displayed download links.

Calls do not automatically copy or download results. Browser permissions still apply. Interface availability alone is not proof of successful execution.

### Planning specification

Shifts of 15 to 180 minutes per day, starting 0 to 14 days before travel, and plans of up to 60 days. Everything is calculated on your device. Downloads: CSV, JSON report and an iCalendar (.ics) file.

This describes intended requirements. Use the implementation notes, interface schema and observed output to determine current support.

## Page guide

Compare your usual sleep window on the home and destination clocks, shifted step by step at a rate you choose. Add each planned night to your calendar.

### How to use Jet lag schedule planner

1. Enter your home and destination time zones and the travel date.
2. Enter your usual sleep and wake times.
3. Choose how many minutes to shift each day, how many days before travel to start and the direction.
4. Review the day-by-day sleep windows, then download the CSV, JSON report or calendar file.

## How the plan is calculated

The time difference between the two zones is measured at noon on the travel date. Advancing moves sleep earlier and delaying moves it later; automatic picks the shorter of the two. Each day the sleep window moves by your chosen minutes until the full difference is covered, and both clocks are shown for every day.

### Calendar entries

Nights before the travel date use the home clock and later nights use the destination clock. Each night starts on the evening of its date: a start from 12:00 is on that date, and an earlier start falls after midnight.

### Not medical advice

This is clock arithmetic only. Happytails.ai gives no advice on light, naps, medicine or supplements. The shift rate is your choice, so ask a health professional what suits you.
