## Tool capabilities

| Property | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Tool ID | `glaze-batch-calculator` |
| Category | calculators |
| Implementation | Registered implementation. Registration alone is not a production-quality guarantee. |
| Browser execution | Automatic updates after valid input or file selection. |
| Browser processing | Browser; see tool notes for network behavior. |
| HTTP API | Not callable through HTTP. |
| Browser-agent interface | run_current_tool |

### Implementation notes

Scale your own dry glaze recipe proportionally. Components do not need to sum to 100. Include dry additives as recipe lines; chemistry and firing suitability are not evaluated. Changing units keeps the entered numbers. Calculations run on your device.

### Inputs and settings

No free-text input is required. Use the file inputs and/or settings below.

| Setting | Meaning | Control type | Default | Constraints |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `recipe` | Dry recipe: one material = weight per line | textarea | "Feldspar = 50\nSilica = 30\nKaolin = 20" | |
| `batchWeight` | Target total dry batch weight | number | 1000 | min=0 max=1000000000 step=any |
| `batchUnit` | Target batch unit | select | "g" | Allowed: g, kg, oz, lb |
| `outputUnit` | Component output unit | select | "g" | Allowed: g, kg, oz, lb |

### Browser-agent workflow

1. Open the human page in a browser that supports WebMCP.
2. Discover the interface exposed by that page; use its actual schema.
3. Select files on the page first when the tool requires files.
4. Call `run_current_tool` with valid input and settings.
5. Inspect the returned result or error and the displayed output. Retrieve files from the displayed download links.

Calls do not automatically copy or download results. Browser permissions still apply. Interface availability alone is not proof of successful execution.

### Planning specification

1–100 uniquely named components with positive weights. Names up to 80 characters. The tool does not certify firing, chemical or food-contact suitability.

This describes intended requirements. Use the implementation notes, interface schema and observed output to determine current support.

### How to use Glaze batch calculator

1. Enter your measurements, rates or supplied recipe.
2. Review the quantities, rounding and plan details.
3. Download the result and verify it against your actual materials or a sample.

## Useful next steps

- [Epoxy ratio calculator](https://happytails.ai/en/calculators/epoxy-ratio-calculator/) ([Markdown](https://happytails.ai/en/calculators/epoxy-ratio-calculator.md))

## Enter every dry component

Use one material = weight line for each ingredient. All values use the same relative weight basis and need not total 100. Every listed additive participates in the total recipe; water is excluded from this dry-weight calculation.

### Scale the proportions

A recipe containing two parts clay and one part silica becomes approximately 666.667 g clay and 333.333 g silica in a 1 kg batch. The CSV contains each original weight, normalized percentage and new amount. Recipe safety and chemistry are outside this calculation.

### Save the plan

Download the result as CSV, plus a text or JSON report with formulas, values and assumptions. Everything is calculated on your device. Changing units keeps the entered numbers, so check the selected units before using the plan.
