## Tool capabilities

| Property | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Tool ID | `epoxy-ratio-calculator` |
| Category | calculators |
| Implementation | Registered implementation. Registration alone is not a production-quality guarantee. |
| Browser execution | Automatic updates after valid input or file selection. |
| Browser processing | Browser; see tool notes for network behavior. |
| HTTP API | Not callable through HTTP. |
| Browser-agent interface | run_current_tool |

### Implementation notes

Enter the manufacturer’s A:B ratio and whether it is by mass or volume. This tool never treats those ratio bases as interchangeable. Changing units keeps the entered numbers. Calculations run on your device.

### Inputs and settings

No free-text input is required. Use the file inputs and/or settings below.

| Setting | Meaning | Control type | Default | Constraints |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `basis` | Manufacturer ratio basis | select | "By mass" | Allowed: By mass, By volume |
| `ratioA` | Component A parts | number | 2 | min=1e-06 max=1000000 step=any |
| `ratioB` | Component B parts | number | 1 | min=1e-06 max=1000000 step=any |
| `known` | Quantity you know | select | "Total mixed amount" | Allowed: Total mixed amount, Component A amount, Component B amount |
| `amount` | Known quantity | number | 300 | min=0 max=1000000000 step=any |
| `massUnit` | Mass unit | select | "g" | Allowed: g, kg, oz, lb |
| `volumeUnit` | Volume unit | select | "mL" | Allowed: mL, L, US fl oz, Imp fl oz |

### Browser-agent workflow

1. Open the human page in a browser that supports WebMCP.
2. Discover the interface exposed by that page; use its actual schema.
3. Select files on the page first when the tool requires files.
4. Call `run_current_tool` with valid input and settings.
5. Inspect the returned result or error and the displayed output. Retrieve files from the displayed download links.

Calls do not automatically copy or download results. Browser permissions still apply. Interface availability alone is not proof of successful execution.

### Planning specification

Positive component ratios only. No conversion between ratio bases, cure-time calculation or permitted batch-size claim.

This describes intended requirements. Use the implementation notes, interface schema and observed output to determine current support.

### How to use Epoxy ratio calculator

1. Enter your measurements, rates or supplied recipe.
2. Review the quantities, rounding and plan details.
3. Download the result and verify it against your actual materials or a sample.

## Use the product ratio and its basis

Enter component A and component B parts in the same order used by your product. Choose mass or volume exactly as specified. The calculator keeps those bases separate because densities can make a mass ratio different from a volume ratio.

### Start from the quantity you know

For a 2:1 mass ratio and 300 g total, the result is 200 g A and 100 g B. Entering 200 g of A or 100 g of B produces the same mixture. The tool determines quantities only; follow the product instructions for mixing and curing.

### Save the plan

Download the result as CSV, plus a text or JSON report with formulas, values and assumptions. Everything is calculated on your device. Changing units keeps the entered numbers, so check the selected units before using the plan.
