## Tool capabilities

| Property | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Tool ID | `coffee-dilution-calculator` |
| Category | calculators |
| Implementation | Registered implementation. Registration alone is not a production-quality guarantee. |
| Browser execution | Automatic updates after valid input or file selection. |
| Browser processing | Browser; see tool notes for network behavior. |
| HTTP API | Not callable through HTTP. |
| Browser-agent interface | run_current_tool |

### Implementation notes

Conserve dissolved solids by mass. Target strength must lie between concentrate and diluent. Use zero for a diluent with no coffee solids. Calculated on your device. Changing units keeps the entered numbers.

### Inputs and settings

No free-text input is required. Use the file inputs and/or settings below.

| Setting | Meaning | Control type | Default | Constraints |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `mode` | Dilution plan | select | "Use all concentrate" | Allowed: Use all concentrate, Make a target drink |
| `concentrate` | Concentrate mass available | number | 400 | min=0 max=100000000 step=any |
| `finalMass` | Target final drink mass | number | 300 | min=0 max=100000000 step=any |
| `concentrateTds` | Measured concentrate strength (% TDS) | number | 4 | min=0 max=100 step=any |
| `targetTds` | Target strength (% TDS) | number | 1.4 | min=0 max=100 step=any |
| `diluentTds` | Diluent strength (% TDS) | number | 0 | min=0 max=100 step=any |
| `massUnit` | Mass unit | select | "g" | Allowed: g, kg, oz, lb |

### Browser-agent workflow

1. Open the human page in a browser that supports WebMCP.
2. Discover the interface exposed by that page; use its actual schema.
3. Select files on the page first when the tool requires files.
4. Call `run_current_tool` with valid input and settings.
5. Inspect the returned result or error and the displayed output. Retrieve files from the displayed download links.

Calls do not automatically copy or download results. Browser permissions still apply. Interface availability alone is not proof of successful execution.

### Planning specification

Concentrate must be stronger than the diluent. The target must be above diluent strength and no stronger than the concentrate.

This describes intended requirements. Use the implementation notes, interface schema and observed output to determine current support.

### How to use Coffee dilution calculator

1. Enter the measurements and assumptions for this recipe or plan.
2. Review the calculated quantities and their stated basis.
3. Download the report and verify it against your measured result.

## Preserve the dissolved solids

Enter concentrate, target and diluent TDS on the same mass basis. With a zero-strength diluent, 400 g at 4% TDS needs about 742.86 g water to reach 1.4%.

### Start from concentrate or drink size

Use all an existing concentrate batch, or specify a final drink mass to calculate both parts. Nonzero diluent strength is included; milk composition and melting ice are not guessed.

### Save the result

Download CSV and a text or JSON report with the calculation and its assumptions. Processing stays on your device. Check measurements and selected units before using the result.
