## Tool capabilities

| Property | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Tool ID | `baking-tin-lining-template` |
| Category | calculators |
| Implementation | Registered implementation. Registration alone is not a production-quality guarantee. |
| Browser execution | Use the visible action or interactive controls. |
| Browser processing | Browser; see tool notes for network behavior. |
| HTTP API | Not callable through HTTP. |
| Browser-agent interface | run_current_tool |

### Implementation notes

Generate full-size SVG and tiled PDF cutting patterns for a separate base and side strip. Print at actual size and check the 100 mm calibration bar. Maximum 36 PDF pages. Calculated on your device. Changing units keeps the entered numbers.

### Inputs and settings

No free-text input is required. Use the file inputs and/or settings below.

| Setting | Meaning | Control type | Default | Constraints |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `shape` | Tin shape | select | "Round" | Allowed: Round, Rectangle |
| `diameter` | Internal diameter | number | 20 | min=0 max=100000000 step=any |
| `length` | Internal base length | number | 30 | min=0 max=100000000 step=any |
| `width` | Internal base width | number | 20 | min=0 max=100000000 step=any |
| `height` | Internal side height | number | 7 | min=0 max=100000000 step=any |
| `topExtra` | Extra paper above the rim | number | 1 | min=0 max=100000000 step=any |
| `overlap` | Side-strip overlap | number | 2 | min=0 max=100000000 step=any |
| `unit` | Dimension unit | select | "cm" | Allowed: mm, cm, in |
| `paper` | PDF paper size | select | "A4" | Allowed: A4, US Letter |

### Browser-agent workflow

1. Open the human page in a browser that supports WebMCP.
2. Discover the interface exposed by that page; use its actual schema.
3. Select files on the page first when the tool requires files.
4. Call `run_current_tool` with valid input and settings.
5. Inspect the returned result or error and the displayed output. Retrieve files from the displayed download links.

Calls do not automatically copy or download results. Browser permissions still apply. Interface availability alone is not proof of successful execution.

### Planning specification

Maximum 36 tiled pages. Tapered walls, decorative shapes and corner folds are not modeled. Printer fit-to-page changes the physical scale.

This describes intended requirements. Use the implementation notes, interface schema and observed output to determine current support.

### How to use Baking tin lining template

1. Enter the measurements and assumptions for this recipe or plan.
2. Review the calculated quantities and their stated basis.
3. Download the report and verify it against your measured result.

## Useful next steps

## Measure the inside of the tin

Enter internal base dimensions, side height, paper above the rim and side overlap. The base is a separate piece; the side strip follows the perimeter plus overlap. Straight-sided tins only.

### Check the print scale

Download the PDF for A4 or US Letter. Print at 100% actual size, measure its 100 mm test line, then trim tile borders and join the labeled rows and columns. The SVG also has physical millimetre dimensions.

### Save the result

Download CSV and a text or JSON report with the calculation and its assumptions. Processing stays on your device. Check measurements and selected units before using the result.
