## Tool capabilities

| Property | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Tool ID | `bakers-percentage-calculator` |
| Category | calculators |
| Implementation | Registered implementation. Registration alone is not a production-quality guarantee. |
| Browser execution | Automatic updates after valid input or file selection. |
| Browser processing | Browser; see tool notes for network behavior. |
| HTTP API | Not callable through HTTP. |
| Browser-agent interface | run_current_tool |

### Implementation notes

All flours together are the 100% basis. Starter should be split into flour and water before entering an overall formula. Calculated on your device. Changing units keeps the entered numbers.

### Inputs and settings

No free-text input is required. Use the file inputs and/or settings below.

| Setting | Meaning | Control type | Default | Constraints |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `flours` | Flours and their weights | textarea | "Bread flour = 400\nRye flour = 100" | |
| `ingredients` | Other ingredients and their weights | textarea | "Water = 350\nSalt = 10" | |
| `massUnit` | Mass unit | select | "g" | Allowed: g, kg, oz, lb |
| `targetFlour` | Target total flour weight | number | 1000 | min=0 max=100000000 step=any |

### Browser-agent workflow

1. Open the human page in a browser that supports WebMCP.
2. Discover the interface exposed by that page; use its actual schema.
3. Select files on the page first when the tool requires files.
4. Call `run_current_tool` with valid input and settings.
5. Inspect the returned result or error and the displayed output. Retrieve files from the displayed download links.

Calls do not automatically copy or download results. Browser permissions still apply. Interface availability alone is not proof of successful execution.

### Planning specification

Up to 50 flour lines and 50 other ingredient lines, each with a unique name and positive weight. Every weight uses the selected unit.

This describes intended requirements. Use the implementation notes, interface schema and observed output to determine current support.

### How to use Baker's percentage calculator

1. Enter the measurements and assumptions for this recipe or plan.
2. Review the calculated quantities and their stated basis.
3. Download the report and verify it against your measured result.

## All flour is 100%

Enter each flour separately, then the other ingredient weights. A recipe with 400 g bread flour and 100 g rye flour has a 500 g flour basis. Its 350 g water is 70%, even though the whole recipe weighs more.

### Scale the whole formula

Choose a target flour weight. Doubling the flour doubles each ingredient. Split starter into flour and water first if you want overall hydration rather than an undivided starter percentage.

### Save the result

Download CSV and a text or JSON report with the calculation and its assumptions. Processing stays on your device. Check measurements and selected units before using the result.
