## Tool capabilities

| Property | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Tool ID | `kanban-card-calculator` |
| Category | business-tools |
| Implementation | Registered implementation. Registration alone is not a production-quality guarantee. |
| Browser execution | Use the visible action or interactive controls. |
| Browser processing | Browser; see tool notes for network behavior. |
| HTTP API | Not callable through HTTP. |
| Browser-agent interface | run_current_tool |

### Implementation notes

Use average daily demand and total replenishment lead time on the same day basis. The safety allowance is a percentage of lead-time demand supplied by you. Card count rounds up to whole containers. This model does not estimate a statistical service level or guarantee against stockouts.

### Inputs and settings

No free-text input is required. Use the file inputs and/or settings below.

| Setting | Meaning | Control type | Default | Constraints |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `dailyDemand` | Average daily demand | text | "12.5" | |
| `leadDays` | Replenishment lead time (days) | text | "2.4" | |
| `safetyPercent` | Safety allowance (%) | text | "10" | |
| `containerQuantity` | Units per container | number | 8 | min=1 max=1000000000 step=1 |

### Browser-agent workflow

1. Open the human page in a browser that supports WebMCP.
2. Discover the interface exposed by that page; use its actual schema.
3. Select files on the page first when the tool requires files.
4. Call `run_current_tool` with valid input and settings.
5. Inspect the returned result or error and the displayed output. Retrieve files from the displayed download links.

Calls do not automatically copy or download results. Browser permissions still apply. Interface availability alone is not proof of successful execution.

### Planning specification

Use nonnegative values with at most six decimal places and whole unit counts up to 1,000,000,000. Time inputs are converted to seconds, with a maximum of 1,000,000,000 seconds. Ratios are rounded to six decimal places; JSON and CSV preserve the calculated values and assumptions. Processing stays on your device.

This describes intended requirements. Use the implementation notes, interface schema and observed output to determine current support.

### How to use Kanban card calculator

1. Enter average daily demand and the full replenishment lead time using the same day basis.
2. Choose a safety allowance and units per container.
3. Calculate whole cards and the inventory they cover, then download the complete report.

## Round up to complete containers

Multiply demand by lead time and one plus the chosen safety allowance, then divide by container size and round upward. Demand of 12.5 units per day, 2.4 days lead time and 10% allowance requires 33 units. With eight units per container, that is five cards covering 40 units.

### The buffer is an assumption

The tool does not calculate a statistical service level or model variable demand and supply. Include the full return-and-replenishment cycle in lead time. Recheck the assumptions when the process changes.
